Ingredients
- Chow chow
- 1 tsp chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 pinch jeera
- 1 small pod garlic
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- Few curry leaves
- Salt to taste

For Seasoning:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 red chilly
- Few curry leaves
Method:
- Peel the skin of the chow chow and clean it in water. Slice it into 2. Remove the seed and the thick part in the center. Cut the remaining part into small pieces.
- Add salt and steam the chow chow pieces.
- Heat kadai and pour oil. Add mustard and when it splutters, put red chilly, curry leaves and the steam cooked chow chow and stir for a while.
- Grind the grated coconut with chilly powder, turmeric powder, garlic, jeera and curry leaves without water for a minute.
- Add this mix to the chow chow and stir well for few minutes.
Thoran is ready.
