Ingredients
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup tomatoes cut into small pieces
  • 2 tsp tamarind water
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup onions cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 tsp green chilly cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 tsp ginger cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbspoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 1/4 tsp methi
  • Few curry leaves
  • Red chilly for seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Cuisine: Cooking time: 30 mins Serving: 4 people

    Method:

    Heat the oil in a kadai. Add mustard and red chilly.when mustard splutters add curry leaves, ginger, onion, methi, green chilly and sauté for few minutes.
    Add tomatoes, tamarind water, salt and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the coconut milk. Sauté for 2 minutes and switch off the gas.
    Serve the curry with chapathis
