- 1 unripe Papaya
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 4 Green chilly cut lengthwise
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 dry red chilly
- 1 tsp Mustard
- Few curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Method :
1. Peel the skin of the papaya and cut it into two. Remove the seeds and clean thoroughly with water. Grate and keep it aside.
2. Now heat a pan, pour 2tbsp oil ( or ghee), add the broken dry chilly, green chillies and mustard. When the mustard splutters, add curry leaves and the grated papaya. Spray little water on it to help to cook well. Add salt and cover it with a lid for a minute. Remove the lid and sauté it on low flame for some time. Be careful not to overcook the papaya. As it dries and looses its water, add coconut and combine well. Switch off the gas.
Another healthy and tasty evening snack for all.
