Ingredients
- 3 boiled potatoes
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup beans chopped into small pieces
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1/2 cup carrot chopped into small pieces
- 2 cup maida (bleached flour)
- Bread crumbs
- 3 green chillies
- 1 medium size skinned ginger
- 6 pods of garlic
- 1 tsp saunf/ fennel seeds
- Salt as per taste
- Few coriander leaves
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Oil for frying
Method:
- Peel the skin of the boiled potatoes and smash them.
- Grind the green chillies, ginger, garlic and fennel seeds coarsely.
- Add the above grounded masala to the rest of the vegetables along with garam masala, coriander powder, chilly powder, salt and turmeric powder and steam. Once the vegetables get cooked, smash them well. Add the boiled smashed potatoes and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix again. Make small balls from this vegetable mix and flatten it on your palm like a patties.
- Take maida in a bowl, add water and mix it well to get a semi liquid consistency. Brush this on the patties made from the vegetable mix. Now pat the flattened vegetable patties into the bread crumbs.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Dip the vegetable patties into the oil for deep frying. Fry them till it turns golden brown in colour. Remove it from the kadai and place it on the tissue paper to absorb the extra oil.
Your yummy cutlet is ready.
